Shipping Policy

1. Order Processing & Shipment

Orders are usually shipped within 7–14 days after payment is confirmed.

Please note that all products are handcrafted by artisans, and shipping times may vary depending on production schedules and inventory availability.

(Weekends, public holidays, and year-end/New Year holidays are excluded.)

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number.

2. Domestic Shipping (Japan)

• Carrier: Yamato Transport
• Shipping Fee: Flat rate of JPY 870 (Tax included) nationwide
• Free Shipping (Japan): Free domestic shipping on orders of JPY 30,000 or more (Tax excluded).

3. International Shipping

We currently offer international shipping to the destinations listed below. Whether you need to pay import fees after purchase depends on the delivery destination.

• Carrier: FedEx or DHL, depending on the destination
• Shipping Fee: Shipping costs are automatically calculated at checkout based on the destination country/region and the weight of the order.
• Free Shipping (International): International shipping is free on orders of USD 200 or more.
• Shipping Destinations (Alphabetical Order): Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Vietnam.

4. Customs Duties, Taxes, and Fees (International Orders)

For EU and UK deliveries, import VAT, customs duties, and courier handling fees are not included in the checkout total. After purchase, the courier will contact you before delivery or at delivery, and payment is required to receive the package.

For destinations outside the EU and the UK, applicable import duties, taxes, and clearance fees are calculated and collected at checkout under our current shipping setup, so additional courier payment is usually not required after purchase.

The amount and timing of import fees are determined by the destination country and the courier.

5. Important Shipping Notes

Shipping Address

Please ensure that your shipping address (including postal code, country, and phone number) is entered accurately at checkout. Delays or returns caused by incorrect or incomplete address information may result in additional shipping charges, which will be the customer's responsibility.

P.O. Boxes

Due to carrier regulations, we do not ship to P.O. Boxes for international orders. Please provide a physical street address.

Refused Delivery or Long-Term Absence

If an order is returned to us due to refused delivery or extended absence, we reserve the right to:

• Issue a refund after deducting round-trip shipping fees and handling charges, or
• Request additional payment for reshipment.

Please note that import fees calculated and collected at checkout are non-refundable in principle. For EU and UK deliveries, any import fees paid to the courier after purchase are handled by the courier and local authorities, not by Zen Craftworks. International return shipping and related fees may be significant.
